Disabled woman in Florida forced to sleep outside two nights

From NBC 2 in Florida:

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A North Fort Myers man is accused of assaulting a disabled woman then forcing her to sleep outside on Christmas night and the following evening.

Charles Jagger, 58, is charged with one count of abuse against a disabled person, one count of criminal mischief and one count of obstructing or resisting a police officer.

Authorities say he locked 46-year-old Gail Stone outside his home at 1358 Old Bridge Road December 25 - 26.

Stone, who is confined to a wheelchair due to a spinal injury, had been living with Jagger since late November, according to a Lee County Sheriff's Office report.

Stone says Jagger struck her in the head, pushed her out the door then locked her outside.

Deputies say he was staggering and intoxicated when they arrived at the home.

He was placed under arrest then reportedly threatened to kill Stone and injure a deputy upon his release from jail.

Authorities say he then began to head-butt a Plexiglas shield inside a patrol vehicle.

Deputies used pepper spray to subdue him, the report said.

He was taken to the Lee County Jail without further incident.
